Good morning, Ankeny.

After Tuesday morning interstate closures, Iowa roads were calm on Wednesday with no incidents and normal drive times reported at 7:15 a.m.—DOT officials said traffic was smooth across central Iowa.

Starting Monday, the southbound entrance ramp at Hickman Road on I-35/80 will close for four months as part of a $94 million project—aimed at widening the interstate and adding a new diverging diamond intersection—and drivers should detour via the Douglas or University on-ramps.

Football Friday Primetime will return this fall with six games exclusively on WHO 13 as new teams like Ames and Norwalk make their debut.

The opening game features the Southeast Polk Rams hosting the Ankeny Centennial Jaguars on August 29th — all matches will be available live on WHO 13 and the WHO 13 TV App.
