➤ The Iowa Department of Education reported today that 45,328 education savings account applications were received for the 2025-26 school year and 43,784 have been approved—this is the first year the program is open to all Iowa students and the application window closed on June 30. Funding will be available on July 15 and the higher number of approved applications may cost $349 million compared with the $314 million budgeted for 40,000 scholarships. KCCI
