- ➤ Ankeny will annex over 1,300 acres north of Northeast 18th Street in unincorporated Polk County, with one plot approved and another to be reviewed today—economic development director Derek Lord said the new plans will add homes, shops, business parks and retail to the north side over time. KCCI
