Blood Cancer United held its Light the Night walk in Ankeny Saturday night to honor blood cancer patients and survivors by lighting red—supporters, white—survivors, and gold—remembered loved ones.
Survivor Dianne Callahan, who once went to the hospital in a wheelchair from severe pain, shared her story as the event aimed to support patients amid funding cuts.
